Melissa graduated from the University of Wollongong in 2010, and completed her Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2011. Melissa is admitted as a Lawyer of the NSW Supreme Court and the High Court of Australia. In 2015 she made the bold decision to start her own law firm on the back end of a bad day in her home town. Melissa is passionate about exceeding clients expectations and all things proactive parenting. With experience in conveyancing, wills and estates and family law and up for a challenge MDVFL was built from the ground up. Melissa is a member of the NSW Law Society, the Women Lawyers Association of NSW, a Specialist Domestic Violence Panel Solicitor and Independent Children’s Lawyer. Melissa also has post graduate qualifications as a registered Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner and holds a Masters in Applied Law – Family Law.

Ammara graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2017 with a Bachelor of Laws having previously completed her Bachelor of Visual Arts majoring in Painting and Drawing with the University of New South Wales. Ammara was admitted as a lawyer in the Supreme Court of NSW in 2018. Prior to joining MDVFL Ammara was working in the areas of employment law and family law having gained experience working at the Elizabeth Evatt Community Legal Centre.
Cathy has been with MDV Family Lawyers since the beginning. Cathy has a wealth of management, client service and administration experience and proudly assists our staff and clients with all their enquiries. Cathy is our resident fixer of all things and provides invaluable support to all staff as our Legal Support Team Leader and Practice Manager.
Cody joined the Firm three years ago from a small regional practice. Cody’s personable character and can do attitude ensure your legal matter will always be given her full attention. Cody continues to improve and develop her legal administration support skills and is also a qualified Justice of the Peace.
Anthony is currently studying a Bachelor of Commerce/LLB at the University of Wollongong. Anthony is about to commence his final year of study in 2022 and takes great pride in being able to apply the knowledge he has gained throughout his studies to his role as a Legal Support Officer at MDVFL.
Brent has recently joined the MDVFL team as a Legal Support Officer. Brent is also studying a Bachelor of Laws/Commerce at Deakin University. After a successful career as an Executive Chef, Brent is a local born and bread looking for career change in law to support his young family. Brent’s ability to go above and beyond for our clients will ensure you are always looked after.
Kelly is our Receptionist and the first point of contact for clients. Kelly’s extensive background in customer service has placed our clients in good hands. Kelly’s pleasant nature and bubbly personality has her often conversing with clients about daily life immediately putting our clients at ease.
Razan is responsible for all your account queries and enquiries on all things costs related. Razan works part time two days per week whilst juggling her university studies with the University of Wollongong studying a Bachelor of Commerce with a major in Accounting.
